&1 More Photo: Whidbey Island

For the last 5 years, we've been spending Labor Day weekend on Whidbey Island in Washington. We were treated to beautiful weather this year, great blackberry picking, birds and lots of deer.

My favorite way to spend an afternoon is on the deck watching the shipping lanes, sipping a g&t with camera in hand. That's when I snapped this photo of the quail perched on the fence during the magic light hour.
