My new favorite hike in the Seattle area, Mailbox Peak! Now to be fair, it was a spectacular day for this hike -- clear skies, light breeze, warm but not too hot and most importantly, no bugs!
This is not one for the light hearted; elevation gain of 4,000 in 2.5 miles when you ascend using the Old Trail. (If you want a less steep option, the New Trail is about twice as long but a bit gentler). We opted for the Old Trail on the way up and the New Trail on the way down and were rewarded with these views once atop. Amazing hike!
